Brad Hunt With One Dandy Of A Hit

Something you might have missed this weekend, somewhere buried in the two losses that the Barons earned at home, was this monster hit by Brad Hunt (h/t to Eric Rodgers for pointing out when it was replayed so that it could be captured). While we are on the topic of Brad Hunt, he’s been a really great defensive player on the farm, and at other times he’s been swimming in the deep end with no floatee. This could be an interesting offseason for the nearly 26 year old defender from Ridge Meadows.

He has hit a pro high already with 44 points, and looks like a good, traditional puck mover. He has one of the better set of “legs” in the minors, and his coziness to MacTavish with previous teams sorta has me curios if Craig saw a breakout approaching.

NHL ice time aside, Hunt is a quality minor league defender. I like him. Not sure the Oilers like him as much, but there’s talent there.
