Travis Ewanyk Suspended One Game

In a recent feisty series against the Charlotte Checkers, Travis Ewanyk was a part of some “funny business” that included a check and continuing altercation (of sorts) on Brendan Woods. The suspension will keep Ewanyk out of the lineup for Friday’s game against Lake Erie.

Ironically, Ewanyk scored his second goal of the season in that series.

Official AHL Release:

The American Hockey League today announced that Oklahoma City Barons center Travis Ewanyk has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of an interference incident in a game at Charlotte on Jan. 23.

Ewanyk was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Ewanyk will miss Oklahoma City’s game Friday (Jan. 30) vs. Lake Erie.
