Bogdan Yakimov Shoulder Injury Update Coming Soon

Bogdan Yakimov has been an interesting player to watch. Slow and chiseled, smart and curious – he is one entertaining not-so-little center prospect. Two points (a goal and an assist) in six games isn’t a huge journey for the kid drafted in the third round in 2013, but he is altogether a work in progress, and bettering himself on the defensive side.

In Wednesday’s game against the Texas Stars he was injured after a rough ride into the boards. He instantly needed help off the ice, and it appeared that he was favoring his right shoulder just a bit, while wiping the “woozies” from his eyes.

Shoulder injuries are the stuff of legend in the Oilers organization. Let’s hope this isn’t a major situation, and the team has promised an update in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled.
