OKC Completes Final Preseason Game, 4-3 Loss To San Antonio

With the mighty Iiro coming through with an overtime goal to beat the Texas Stars a night before, the Barons would run out of gas (and time) in San Antonio for their preseason finale. A 4-3 loss at the hands of the Rampage was not without its special moments, however, they were just few and far between.

Kale Kessy, via a Graeme Craig whale of a shot, beat goaltender Dan Ellis for the game’s opening goal. It felt monumental. The Rampage would walk through the first period with no goals, but would rely heavily on Bobby Butler to get them back on course. His pair of goals came at the most important times, and it eventually was too much for the Barons to handle.

Jason Williams would give Mitch Holmberg a big assist on the Barons second goal of the game. Williams would again get one of his own later in the game to continue his “real solid night”.

The two-some of Frans Tuohimaa and Ty Rimmer were good, not great, and perhaps that was the difference.

The Barons would lose to the Rampage by a score of 4-3
