The Oklahoma City Barons announced the signing of undrafted free agent Graeme Craig. Craig joins the Barons from the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders, and previously the Saskatoon Blades. He joins the Barons on an Amateur Try-Out for the remainder of this season. He’ll be on an AHL deal next season.
A third round pick in the Bantam Draft, Craig started his WHL career with the Swift Current Broncos where he played for three and a half seasons, earning 25 points in 200 games. In 2012, he was traded to the Blades, finishing off the season with 15 points in 51 games and was held pointless in four playoff games. Named the captain of the Blades this season, he was traded after 44 games – earning 24 points – to Prince Albert. With the Raiders, he earned seven points in 27 games. Towards the end of the season, Craig missed seven games with an upper body injury, but was able to get in one playoff game, going scoreless.
Craig will wear number 2 for the Barons.
Welp… Oklahoma in the morning!
